  • September 19, 2018 Dear GES Families: We have an early release today, September 19th.  All learners will be dismissed at 1:00PM. Please plan accordingly. PTA Membership Drive:The Gilford PTA has made it exceptionally easy for you to donate now! You simply fill out the form below, and it will lead you to Paypal.  Once you're there, select whatever sponsorship level you're comfortable with and you can pay by credit card or check! You can also chose to become a PTA member for $25 and receive monthly updates!  We will tell you how much money we raised at our event this year because of you, and each month we will send you an update on what was funded through the ...

  • September 17, 2018 Notification from: Gilford Elementary SchoolDear GES Families:We had a wonderful Make a Wish celebration on September 11th for a family in our school community.  We learned that all of us have the makings of an everyday hero.I am so proud of our learners. They were  great audience members.We have attached the Gilford Got Lunch Program Application and information flyer. This organization helps provide meals for those in need within our community.   • September 10, 2018 Dear GES Families:We had another hot, but productive week here at GES. The weather certainly cooled down for the weekend.  Here are some announcements and important dates:Announcements:This week Emily Jacques, a current 4th grader, talked with all grade levels during lunch about juvenile arthritis. She has suffered from this disease since she was 2 ½ yrs old. This year she was selected to be the youth honoree for the Jingle Bell Run/Walk 5K race. Part of her job is to create a team, fund raise for the race, and raise awareness for arthritis. Emily’s goal is to reach $1,000 and she is hoping Gilford Elementary families can help her reach her goal as well as ...

  • September 4, 2018 Dear GES Families:We are off to a great start!  It was wonderful to welcome 343 learners to school last week. All learners found their way to their new classrooms with help from many staff members in the hallways.  Although it was rather hot in the classrooms, the children and staff persevered through it and remained focused on learning. There were learners checking out caterpillars, making nature numbers, reading books and making new friends.  All classrooms reviewed the Learner Expectations (Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible).Upcoming events:As a reminder, we have our first early release on September 19th.   • 8/22/18 Notification from: Gilford Elementary SchoolDear GES Families:It’s the most wonderful time of the year….when we welcome our learners to Gilford Elementary School for 2018-19 school year!  Our dedicated staff works very hard to meet the individual needs of all learners, and maintains personal connections with our families. You should have received a letter from your child’s teacher prior to the beginning of the school year. Important Updates: There were some exciting projects happening over the summer. Every classroom has a fresh coat of paint and our Learning Commons (formerly known as the library) has some new furniture, bookshelves and newly painted walls.
