  • January 14, 2019 Dear GES Families:I hope you are staying warm on this very chilly Saturday! We are excited to begin our One School, One Book literacy program that involves an entire school with families and staff simultaneously reading the same book. We will announce the book's title this Friday during our school wide broadcast. The youngest child in your family will bring home the book this Friday.   • January 7, 2019 Dear GES Families:Happy New Year! It was wonderful to welcome back the learners this past week. They came in ready to learn after a nice long break.Upcoming Events:There is a school board meeting at 6:00pm on Monday, January 7th at Gilford Elementary School. A few second grade learners will be presenting how they use data to create learning goals. We will also thank the PTA for their gift of the Outdoor Learning Center.Just a reminder that we have an early release this week.   • December 18, 2018 Dear GES Families:I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. Gilford Elementary had a very impressive showing at the Jingle Bell 5K Run this Sunday. Many GES staff, Gilford Police and Firefighters showed up to support Emily and the Arthritis Foundation. Congratulations to Emily Jacques, Kaitlyn Jacques, Bella Bryant and Mason Joubert. They all placed in their age divisions!   • December 13, 2018 Dear GES Families:We are looking forward to our next showcase tomorrow at 1:45pm. I hope to see many families there. Our report cards will be distributed this Friday, December 14th.  Our learners in all grade levels have completed reading benchmark assessments, writing and math assessments. The results of these common assessments will be shared with families on our first trimester report card. Our specialists will also assess every learner. Along with sharing academic information, I thought it was important to share additional information with families about our school’s goal of spreading kindness.
