  • September 25, 2017 Dear GES Families:Some important upcoming events below:Lynn Lyons Stopping the Worry Cycle: How to Manage Worry in the Family and at School Tuesday, September 26thfrom 6-8 pm at Gilford High School Auditorium – Open to the public (Check out the attached flyer for more information)  Volunteer fingerprinting as well as volunteer orientations.   • September 25, 2017 Dear GES Families:I hope you enjoyed the beautiful weather this weekend. Our family enjoyed apple picking and the hot apple cider donuts too!  It is hard to believe this is the last week of September. Here are some events coming up!Come join us for a free event sponsored by the PTA at Gilford High School from 6:00-8:00 PM on September 26th.  Lynn Lyons will speak about how to manage the worry in family and at school. There will be a volunteer orientation prior to the presentation at 5:30pm.The PTA is hosting an outdoor showing of Lego Batman on Friday evening (September 29th) on the Gilford Village Fields (by the band stand).   • September 11, 2017 Dear GES Families:Thank you to everyone that donated to our supply drive. We sent several boxes of supplies to Texas last week. Also, thanks to a wonderful group of parents and children the front of our school is looking fabulous!September 15th is International Dot Day and this week our school will be celebrating creativity, courage and collaboration. Our integrated arts teams has many exciting lessons planned throughout the week. Every child will paint a rock to highlight their individuality and the rocks will be displayed in the front of our school.   • September 18, 2017 Dear GES Families:This past week the learners showed just how creative they were as we celebrated International Dot Week.  Please remember we will have our first early release this Wednesday at 1:00PM.  If your child is going home in a different manner, please notify your child’s classroom teacher.  Also, many parents have asked about school on October 6th. The elementary school will be in school on October 6th and it is school picture day. The high school does not have school because of conferences.   • September 5, 2017 Dear GES Families:We are off to a great start!  It was wonderful to welcome over 335 learners to school this past week. I observed so many smiling faces and the excitement in classrooms was contagious. This month’s Panda Challenge is to hike 2 trails and do some push-ups every other day. I am not sure about the push-ups, but I did enjoy some hiking. I hope you were able to enjoy our beautiful area with family and friends.Upcoming events:GHS Interact and National Honor Society are organizing a supply drive to send to Texas.
