Picture of a heart shaped tree in the fallDear GES Families:

I hope you are enjoying the beautiful fall weather. Thank you so much to all the volunteers that helped out this past week. Your dedication to our school is much appreciated.

Here’s what’s been happening at GES:

Math News: Kindergarten

Topic - Numerals to 5 in Different Configurations, Math Drawings, and Expressions

Each pair of learners were given 2 homemade chocolate chip cookies to prove their thinking on a problem in their Math Journals: Bill had 2 chocolate cookies in his lunchbox. He ate one cookie and gave one cookie to his friend. What is in Bill’s lunchbox now? In their Math Journals, learners drew a picture to show the problem, filled in the blank in the word sentence, and explained their thinking to their partner and the teacher. They ate their cookie and give the other to their partner to eat…..what a delicious way to solve a math problem!

2019 NH Pumpkin Festival: Our entire school will be participating in the NH Pumpkin Festival. If you haven't already sent in a pumpkin or two, please do so this week.

Volunteer Steering Committee News: The VSC square page is set up. Check it out to see the new merchandise available for sale. The link is https://vscatges.square.site/
