Dear GES Families:

Here are a few announcements:

-Reminder: Early Release is Friday, May 13th. Learners dismissed at 1:00PM
-The Gilford Gauntlet is coming up! (Check out the flier attached) 

-All parents/guardians that are planning to attend field trips must have an up-to-date volunteer badge. If more information, please call the SAU at 527-9215.

-The Scholastic Book Fair is back! We will be holding an in-person fair from May 16th-May 20th. Learners will visit the fair during their Innovations special. The fair will also be open after school each day from 3:00-4:00. We will also be having a Book Fair cookout on May 17th from 4:00-5:30 with a rain date of May 18th. That would be a great time to stop in and shop around with your child! 
You can also shop online from May 16 - May 29th. https://www.scholastic.com/bf/gilfordelementaryschool  Also, interested in a cashless and contactless way for your learner to shop?  It's easy to create an eWallet for your learner to shop with in-person at the Book Fair. PTA News:

-Poetry Night at 6pm Monday, May 16th at the Gilford Public Library for all the winners and their families.
-Family Fun Night: Steam & Ice Cream with SubZero returns Thursday, May 26th at 6pm outside at GMS. Pizza $1

-The Hike a thon T-shirt design contest returns! Deadline June 3rd. 

-We are looking for volunteers to help install new basketball hoops and a tire swing in the coming months.
