Dear GES Families:

This week has been an incredible challenge for Gilford families and educators. With Gov. Sununu's order to shift all public schools to remote instruction, our school administrators, faculty, and staff and the families they support have had to craft new ways to teach learners who aren't in the building.

Maple Facts:

GES has made over 3 gallons of syrup this season. We continue to collect and boil sap. Today we will see a low of 29 and a high of 58 degrees. We should see the buckets fill up!

Maple trees can live to 200 years and beyond and can be tapped for 150 years or more.

Technology Update:

We are ready to begin remote instruction on Monday.  Because this process is so new, many of you will have questions. Each classroom teacher is preparing their lessons a little differently. You might see packets or your child might have everything provided online. There might be videos used for instruction from the teacher or through an online resource. Please reach out to us.

This is a valuable resource for all families, GES Technology Account Information.  This resource has step-by-step directions with screenshots outlining the process to access all of our digital platforms.  In addition, this document includes directions on how to set up home access for Epic! and access the parent dashboard for DreamBox. Please remember that we are a team and here to help with anything.  We recommend families try accessing and become familiar with these platforms prior to Monday, March 23rd, when we go live! If at any time you have questions regarding technology or accounts, please contact Katie Bryant at

There's still time to order a 2020 GES yearbook and create customized pages!  See the attached flyer for information on how to place your order. Contact Katie Bryant at with any questions.

Be Well!
